Downtown Los Angeles Jewerly District
The Jewelry District
is the largest jewelry district in the United States (according to the
Los Angeles Convention Center and Visitor's Bureau), a section of
Downtown Los Angeles where a variety of jeweled products are sold. The
annually reported sales from the jewelry district is just under $3
billion. It comprises close to 5,000 businesses with vendors on Hill
Street, Olive Street, and Broadway Avenue between 5th and 8th Streets.
Shoppers report finding excellent prices on designer jewelry, precious
stones, and gold and silver items. Although there are many vendors at
street level, it is advisable to enter some of the buildings, such as
the Pacific Center, the historical Warner building, the California
Jewelry Mart and the International Jewelry Center, and explore the fine
jewelers inside.
